Vehicle description
2000 American Dream 40 DDS. (dual slide)
77,xxx miles
This coach has been well maintained with service history receipts dating back to 2000. Comes with all manuals, and books.
This is the 350hp version Cummins ISC 8.3.
This coach sits on the spartan chassis.
When we bought this one, we picked it beacuse it has the air ride, and independent fron suspension. It rides very solid, and smooth.
We put Brand new uniroyal tires at the end of march 2018. If you dont know, tires on rvs need to be replaced every 5 or so years no matter how "New" they look.
2000 is the first year that American Coach put the fiberglass roof. This is a great feature since there is one less thing to maintain.
I have owned this Coach since November of 2015. We had a garage built when we bought it, and have kept it inside since purchased.
When we bought it, we removed the old tube tv"s and had a flat screen samsung tv professionally installed in the back bedroom.
There was a tv that was in the front next to the driver seat that would raise and lower with a built in actuator. We removed that tv and used that area as storage. It still has all the hookups and a person could easilly fit a small flat screan in that area if they wanted. There is also a tv area in one of the outside storage compartments that we removed. It has an outdoor speaker system there that we never used. The old tube tvs were just dated and tacky.
It has trackvision over the road satellite installed on the coach. This is older though (non-Hd version). It works though. When we first got the coach, we had added a (room) with directv.
All of the house batteries were replaced right before we bought the coach, and work perfectly.
All seals we "re-caulked" this year
New slide out awinings in April 2018
Exterior deep cleaned and buffed/waxed, and wheels polished twice since Ive owned it. The most reacent was April 2018.
New windshild and rubber gasket in 2017
We have never smoked or had pets in this coach. I am the 3rd owner, and placed the smell of the coach as one of the highest priority. It smells fresh and clean inside.
The driver and passenger leather seats have a small amount of age wear, but do major rips or tears. I am pretty picky on things not looking worn out, not working. These have never been bad enough to be a concern.
The coach new was $250,000.00 retail. The new american dream coaches retail at over $500,000.00! Even though this coach is 18 years old, it has been complimented many times because it doens"t look its age. Most early 2000"s diesel pushers look dated, but this American still turns heads wherever it goes (another reason we decided to go with the American Coach). American coach is owned by fleetwood, but built in its own factory (American is the Cadillac of Fleetwood)
