Vehicle description
Relisted due to buyer not understanding what an auction is - a commitment to buy. Buyer (Peter1027) refused to make deposit - arrange for pickup or pay. PLEASE - Listing for Auction is not inexpensive. If you have a question, ask! If you have a concern, let me know. But BEFORE you bid or the auction ends, not after.
1999 Winnebago Rialta 22QD Offered for your consideration, the 1999 Rialta . With only 72,000 miles, this motorhome has plenty of life to offer to a new owner. History – my brother acquired this Rialta in 2013 with the intent to use in conjunction with his volunteer ambulance activities. As such, it was never really used to camp in. It was used as a first aid station, mobile command post and communications van . When he acquired it it did have engine issues. For those not familiar with the VW VR6, these are prone to timing chain issues, particularly if oil changes are not done regularly. While I cannot find the receipt for the work (still looking), my brother related to me that the timing chain and head were reworked. Driving it, I would have to say this is appears reasonable. I own a 2002 Eurovan (similar engine) and I can say that the Rialta has a much quieter valve train than my 174k mile van. Because of the way the Rialta was used, the Onan Generator was serviced and is fully operational (not always the case on these Rialtas !) The driving cab is in good condition, only minimal wear to the leather upholstery. The factory radio has been replaced with a CD / Bluetooth capable unit, and the hands-free works well. For camping, the camper has both a propane stove and a microwave. Additionally a three way Norcold refrigerator is installed. Now I will be honest, I have not tested everything. My brother says the fridge works on DC and AC (you can here it run), but I have not tried to fire it up on the propane. For those familiar with VW Campers and such, these can be finicky, and I feel it best not to tinker for now. The living space is in good condition. You will note additional wiring by the back windows. This was for the communications radios that were installed. Wiring needs to be removed. I have not tested the water system on the camper, so I will advise any potential buyer to realize it may need work. My brother advised that he never used it, but rather ‘dry’ camped. When I picked up the van I found that someone had left the breaker for the water heater on and the switch was on. I would go with the assumption that the water heater does not work for now Because of my brother’s medical condition, I am selling this on his behalf. I am somewhat familiar with the Rialta only because I used to have its older brother the LeSharo . My description is as best as I know, and I do advise that yes, this is sold as-is. Equipment – - Flat screen TV - DVD player - Microwave - Range Top - Satellite dish (no receiver installed) - Generator - TV antenna - 3-way fridge - XM radio cradle installed on dash. Brand new (never used ) XM Radio receiver included with sale - Numerous misc. spares - Rewired with new automatic shoreline transfer switch Pluses - Low miles - Low wear interior - Updated stereo - Genset and camper AC work properly - Current and recent NYS Safety Inspection Negatives - Cab (Chassis) AC is not blowing cold. - I do not know why. It could simply need freon or it could have a bad compressor. Please take this into account - Slight cracking to rear bumper - Cover needs reattachement - Some minor cosmetic issues - trim on right cab door is off (we have it) needs reattachment I would urge all potential buyers to contact me with any questions, or better yet, come see the camper. Any sale will be final and the vehicle is offered as-is with a clear NY Title No shipping will or can be provided. Local pickup in Lancaster PA - $1000 deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment and pickup due by 10/4/17 unless you make other arrangements PRIOR to auction close.
