Vehicle description
We listed this RV for sale about a month ago and received lots of interest but due to our remote location and consequently the poor road conditions we had to deter potential buyers. The road is now in good enough condition to get the RV out so we are reposting the ad. The RV is available to be shown after 5pm on weekdays or anytime on Sunday. If you don"t have cash in hand and aren"t coming out with the intention of driving it home then please go elsewhere. We don’t have the least desire to deal with time wasters, and non-paying bidders will be reported to . No exceptions. We have a clean and clear title in hand so come and get it before someone else does. .
This is a well maintained and easy to drive Class C RV with just under 40k miles on it. Its a Sunseeker by Forest River model # 305S. We relocated to northern Idaho from KY and took it on a 2500 mile trip across country fully loaded down on the inside and pulling 3.5k # behind it and it didn"t skip a beat! We averaged 7-8mpg the whole trip so not too bad considering all the weight, mountains, and wind. It had a $2k brake job done in October of 2017 and I do have the receipt; brake pads, rotors, seals, calipers, hoses, etc. Front tires are like new [DOT stamped 2015 but installed in 2018] and the back aren"t too far from it [DOT stamped and installed in 2017]. It has two like new deep cycle batteries, and the Onan 4kw generator only has 210 hours on it. Did I mention that it has the hard to find and bulletproof Triton V10 E450 engine in it? Well it most certainly does! We no longer have use for it so it needs a new owner. The RV books for $13700 at NADA so our loss can be your gain. .
This RV sleeps 5 people comfortably but you could easily put a cot and/or sleeping bag in the living room floor, and the little kids could possibly share beds making even more room. The kitchen has an electric slide and all appliances work great; AC, Heat, Water Heater, Water Pump, Fridge, Stove, Convection Microwave. Its not new by any means so it has expected wear for a 20 year old RV. Besides normal wear the canvass on both the front and slide awning"s need to be replaced. The front passenger side laminate around the loft window needs to be patched as we hit a wind storm in MT and had a very hard wind gust get under the seam and rip part of the laminate off. (see updated pic) It also has a couple spots of cosmetic delamination as is common with these vehicles. The carburetor on the Genset could use a good cleaning as it surges a bit. It does start right up and holds a full load though. It"s a very common problem and easy fix we just never got around to doing it. The heat/ac in the cab work great but the vent selection is stuck on defrost due to a simple vacuum leak, blown fuse, or bad actuator which is another common and easy fix. There are no current water leaks but it does have a small 12"x12" soft spot on the roof. The rubber roof was compromised at some point before being sealed by previous owners. Since it"s not leaking I personally wouldn"t be too concerned with patching it, but if you did it wouldn"t be very difficult. I"m just trying to be as honest and descriptive as possible because I don"t want to waste anyones time. If you come here with the expectation that you are buying a mechanically sound 20 year old RV with average wear for the age and a few minor issues to be addressed then you won"t be disappointed. Its a nice RV for what it is but remember folks, you aren"t buying a new RV at this price point! .
The RV is located 20 miles north of Bonners Ferry Idaho near Eastport.
