You are bidding on a used 1999 Sterling Semi Tractor w/Hydraulic 5th Wheel. Vehicle was used primarily on our 6800 acre site for delivery of material to outlying locations. Vehicle has 67,682 original miles. Tires are in very good condition, air conditioner and heater work well. You are highly encouraged to arrange for a visit to our facility for a test drive and visual inspection. Please read and agree to our terms and conditions before placing bid . Both Export Control Letter and Citizenship Statement must be filled out before sale can be completed. Due Diligence :
- Successful Bidder is required to supply transportation and is responsible for all related costs . The Bidder should provide adequate trucks, dunnage, blocking, bracing and tie downs. Seller will load assets onto the Bidder’s trucks. FOB Fermi, freight collect.
- Personal property purchased from the U.S. Government may or may not be authorized for export from the United States to a foreign country. The purchaser must be a United States citizen or permanent resident alien and/or if purchasing for a company or corporation, the company or corporation is a United States owned company or corporation . Purchasers must complete a Citizenship Self-Certification form and an Export Control and Proliferation Sensitive Property Acknowledgement form.
- All assets are listed and sold on “AS IS, WHERE IS AND WITH ALL FAULTS” conditions as of the date of sale and prospective bidders are advised to conduct due diligence research before placing bids. “ALL SALES ARE FINAL”. Seller Warrants to the buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its basic description. The property may contain flaws and/or defects may not be immediately detectable. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, seller will keep the property and refund any money paid.
- The bidder is invited and urged to inspect the property prior to submitting a bid. Property will be available for public inspection/pick-up at Site 38 Whse. #2 Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Batavia, Il. Inspection and pick-up may be made during weekdays between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 CST. A 24-hour notification is required prior to coming to the site by contacting the Property Office at (630)840-3585. Directions may be obtained from the Property Office.
- Full payment is due within seven (7) calendar days from the end of the auction. Fermilab payment terms are: Any auction with a winning bid under Five Hundred Dollars ($500) may be paid via Personal, business check, and certified checks. Any auction with a winning bid above Five Hundred Dollars ($500) must be paid with a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, , or Travelers Check.
- Removal: All items must be removed within 180 days from the time and date of auction closing. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. The buyer is responsible for all damage to Seller property and facilities caused during the loading and removal of items . Property not removed within 180 days of the auction closing will be considered abandoned, buyer is declared in default and ownership shall revert back to the seller. Fermilab will refund agreed upon purchase price of material if not picked up within 180 days.
- Vehicle Titles and Emissions: Proper documentation (SF 97) will be presented to winning bidder upon pickup. It is the buyers responsibility to apply for a new title. Open SF 97’s cannot be issued, they must be in the name of winning bidder only. Vehicles do not have current emission sticker. The purchaser is responsible for a new emission sticker if required.
- Default : Default shall include (1) failure to observe these terms and conditions; (2) failure to make good and timely payment; or (3) failure to remove all items within the 180 days. If buyer is in default, Seller may negotiate with next closest bidder, re-list at another auction and/or pursue all legal proceedings. Default may result in termination of the contract and suspension from participation in all future sales until the default has been cured. If the buyer fails in the performance of their obligations, Seller may exercise such rights and may pursue such remedies as are provided by law. Seller may exercise the right to refund payments where property has not been picked up by the buyer.

PROLIFERATION SENSITIVE PROPERTY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
In the event that proliferation sensitive property, as identified on the U.S. Munitions List(22 CFR 121) or the International Atomic Energy Information Circular (INFCIRC) 254 Part 1 (the Trigger List), is inadvertently included in this sale, the purchaser agrees that the sale is void, and, if such property has been received by purchaser, that purchaser will return the property to DOE-Chicago Operations. If payment has been made, the purchase price only shall be refunded to the purchaser.
