Engine/Transmission/Generator

The rv has approx 56000 miles. It has a beautiful interior but the outside has seen better times. The design of the awning led to some leakage between the aluminum panel and the plywood sheathing. This was repaired once, but the leak recurred. Due to the recurrence, the awning was removed and the siding patched. It is acceptable, but the work is not perfect and the price reflects this lack of perfection. There is a local metal shop that sells 4x10 sheets of these aluminum panels for approx $80, three or four of these sheets would cover most of the area needing rework.
Additionally, there is a spot on the driver side front near the headlight whee the motorhome was hit and there is damage to the fiberglass. Similarly on the rear passenger side there was some damage that could use a little repair. The last item worthy of mention is damage to one of the passenger side compartment doors. I keep the door closed with a ratchet strap, I have not tried to have it repaired.
The engine runs very well. I have owned this machine for five years and had no mechanical issues with engine or transmission.
As a result of a problem the original generator and inverter were removed after a problem. The generator was replaced with a portable propane generator that is almost 5KW and is adequate for everyday needs. It is installed in the generator compartment, it is electric start but has to be started from outside. The propane tank is the larger model intended for use with a generator. The inverter was not replaced as we had no need for it. The same problem affected the microwave, step motor and lights. the running lights occasionally will turn off after hitting a hard bump. They usually come right back on, but there have been times when that wasnt immediate.
The interior is in very good condition with the exception of some minor light stains and one larger darker stain, approx 1" diameter from previous leakage that have been corrected. There is 32" LCD TV in the front and a small CRT TV in the back. The stove works fine, microwave does not. No plumbing issues, the washer is not currently connected because it was going to be removed for added storage space.
I have done my best to describe this motorhome accurately. I believe the pictures properly reflect its condition, but from experience, I believe everything looks better in photos than in person, please keep this in mind. It is a home on wheels with a lot of accessories and moving parts. I am not intentionally leaving anything out, but it is possible there is something small that I will remember as I walk through this with a buyer. As you have read, it needs attention and will take some time and effort to get several items back to full capacity. This is a good running diesel pusher at a good price if you are up for the work. I would not think twice about driving this 1000 miles. Last year it went to Reno, the year before to Seattle. If you decide to purchase and find it is not as described, I will refund the deposit.
