Vehicle description
We have owned this RV for just over 8 years. We purchased it when our oldest child was a freshman at Penn State University. We primarily purchased the RV to tailgate at the home football games and spend time with our kids and their friends. We are now selling as our 3rd child recently graduated from Penn State. This RV is not perfect but there is still a lot of fun to be had in it. It sits on the Ford F53 chassis and is powered by a Triton V10 and runs well. As you can see from the pricing I am motivated to sell it this fall to avoid having to store it over another winter. I am listing it later than anticipated as I just installed a new fuel pump which ended up being quite a job as I had to drop the tank. I also install a new awning (and all associated hardware) last fall so that is literally like new. The RV has current PA inspection until the end of the month, and since it was inspected last fall has only been used one time for a Penn State game last November (it was only driven ~300 miles since the last inspection and was serviced at the same time).
There are a few items that I would call out. .
The RV was manufactured for a Canadian customer base. The speedometer is in both kilometers per hours and MPH, but the kilometers are listed above the MPH (the opposite of how we typically would see it in the U.S.). The odometer is in kilometers and the actual current reading is 97,028 kilometers which translates to 60,290 miles.
The power steering pump does have a leak where the return line connects to the pump itself. The power steering works perfect but I do occasionally need to top off the fluid. This has been the case since I have owned the RV, and historically I have had to maybe add a quart of power steering fluid (Ford Type F transmission fluid) per year.
There is a crack in the laminate on the outside wall of the slide out. It has been there since we have owned the RV and has not impacted the functionality of the slide. I included a picture to show the damage.
There is some delamination on the outside walls. I did have to repair one wall in the back bedroom when we first purchased the unit and the repair has held up well (you can see that in the interior pictures).
There are several spots on the bottom of the RV (on the storage doors)where the clear coat is peeling off and the latches could use some lubrication. As far as the interior goes, it is in nice shape. The swivel chair just inside the door wobbles a bit but with a little attention could be fixed no problem. The remote water pump works but has a loose connection right at the pump and at times does not kick on. The is a loose connection on the pump that could either be soldered or replaced (a new pump on Amazon is $65.00). If you are hooked to town water there is no need for the pump.
Outside of the water pump all utilities work great. .the range top/stove, furnace, hot water heater, shower, toilet, sink, microwave, etc. function perfectly. The TV is an older unit that we typically do not use. .we always took a flat screen that we could use inside or outside.
The last time we used the AC units on the roof (at the beach about 2 years ago) they worked great.
I would also comment that the layout on the inside works well. There is a ton of storage and it would not be unusual for us to have 6 or more inside at a time. There is a satellite dish on the roof and it will work with DISH or DIRECT TV receivers. We always had the games on during our tailgates.
Options include Queen Bed, Microwave Oven, Ref/Freezer Combination, Stove, Gas Generator, Shower, Hydraulic Leveling System, Cruise Control, Electric Steps, Patio Awning, Slide Awning, Outside Ladder, Outside Shower, Skylight, Full Sized Sofa (with pull out bed), Kitchen Dinette Converts to a Bed, 2 A/Cs, Furnace, Water Heater, Unit has a lot of Storage Bays, Satellite/Cable Ready.
As you can see I am listing all the pros and cons. Overall this is a good running RV with a great layout, but it is by NO means perfect and could use some attention as defined above. Having said that, I believe the price is VERY fair especially considering what other RVs are listing at these days. Please feel free to come take a look if you are interested.
