Vehicle description
I am selling my semi-truck. Volvo VNL 640 1998. It has a 12.7 Detroit Engine, 10 Speed Rockwell transmission, 3.7 ratio, 1.3 million original miles.
The previous owner of this truck did an engine overhaul when the truck had to 1 million miles. However he never provided me with any paperwork to prove it. The engine works very well without any issues. This truck has gone through a complete rebuild and restore with multiple upgrades over the past year. I am also including a link to a photo album detailing this full restoration process.
Just in parts, I have invested $18,000 dollars I have all of the receipts if needed. This number does NOT include any labor costs. This truck doesn"t need anything done to it to get it up on the road. I"ve taken the liberty to change the oil in the engine, rears and transmission and other regular maintenance tasks.
After sand blasting the frame (see photo album) I used a POR15 primer and once the frame was primed, I used a polyurethane paint to make sure that the frame doesn"t rust again. When restoring this truck my plans were for pulling flat-bed trailers. If you are planning to pull Dry Van or Reefer, i have a spoiler for the cab to raise the roof and make it more aerodynamic.
I originally re-built this truck for myself with plans to drive it to take advantage of the paper logs, however due to some circumstances I have to sell it instead.
Due to the amount of work done on this truck, i cannot write out every details however below are some of the major upgrades.
