Vehicle description

Open format skoolie/RV conversion. All the hard work is done! You can design your own layout to get started with right away. Was well into converting this full 40 foot 1998 flat nose International school bus into a loft on wheels, but my plans have changed, and sadly, owning a skoolie is no longer going to work out for me, so I am selling my unfinished conversion, as is. A ton of love has gone into this thing; completely de-rusted, sealed, insulated, and strengthened the floor support using a tight gridlock pattern for the framing. Raised the bedroom area (everything past the back wheel wells) a good 22 inches, with plans of putting a studio space underneath a lofted bed for seated productivity, with the bonus of still having full access to the back door. Also installed a nice, long horizontal window to run along the side of the lofted bed in the back of the bus for mountain views in the morning and star gazing before slumber, as well as took out all of the bus windows, replacing them with thick, extra efficient insulation, and installed some larger RV windows, creating walls of windows for the living space towards the front, and placing higher, longer windows along the wall where my kitchen/countertop area was going to be. Yes, all of the windows are actually installed - I know the photos may be a little confusing. The bus is incredibly insulated. In order to keep as much head space as possible, our plan was to embrace the look of raw wood grain for the floor, so we got these beautiful thick, sanded oak boards, and have spiffed and shined them up to where they look really nice and continuous, but you could of course install your own flooring on top. Interior Dimensions:::
Length 35"
Width 7" 4"
Height for main area is 6" .5"
Height for lofted back area (behind back wheels) is 7" 10"
If you are familiar with different bus companies/makes, you probably know that International busses have engines and parts that go into tractors and tanks, are incredibly efficient, reliable, and cheeeeap to maintain compared to all of the other busses with Mercedes parts. This bus drives very well, has a ton of power, and comes with a clean, transferable title, of course. She has 205,280 miles on her. Starts up right away and runs like a charm. This can be a solid investment that will generate lots of extra income on the side when not in use by yourself!
