Unit 199 1998 International Vin # 1HTGHADR3WH541482 Currently sits at 204k miles and 12,299 hours (on chassis - not the inframe rebuild).
Location: B&P Environmental 1230 Cronson Bvld Crofton, MD 21114
The backstory behind this truck is that she was used here for many years prior to me joining the company in 2014. Since I joined in 2014, I pulled 3 units out of service (199, 207, 208) and we have since bought many new pump trucks. 208 was rebuilt and is a backup truck we occasionally use. 207 was scrapped. 199 was kept around because she runs and we have used her a handful of times over the past few years. But, we now find that we never use the truck and we wish to sell it to free up room and not pay for registration, etc. I would not call her ‘turn key’ as there are some minor faults and flaws, but what I can say is that you could buy this truck and start generating revenue from day one. There is nothing preventing her from working with the exception of things like the cruise control not functioning, no PTO shaft for the hydraulic pump to raise the tank (the hydraulic system does work - just needs the shaft), and the truck physically showing her age. Feel free to call my cell during reasonable hours if you want to discuss the unit.
The way I see this truck - this is a great unit for someone to buy to either start their company or supplement with a second or third truck. These motors are reliable, mechanically fuel injected. You will never have emissions problems, you will never have crappy ECM or electronic issues. I would love to keep this truck but as a matter of company policy we are getting rid of all 10 speed trucks. Sadly, it is hard in our market to find drivers who can legally drive a 10 speed (MD has restricted licenses) and who can actually drive a 10 speed.
See photo of the engine placard for motor info. 300 horsepower and 860 ft lb torque. BUTTER SMOOTH 10 speed transmission, relatively new clutch (very, very low hours/miles) The truck has a 3400 gallon tank (this could be 3200 or 3600 - I do not recall exactly). The truck has a well working massport wittig 100 RFL pump. This pump is relatively new and is a new replacement from VSI in New Jersey, I do not remember the exact hours or anything on this pump, but the vanes are good, she was always kept oiled, etc. I do know I replaced the pump maybe around 2017 or so. She will develop a good vacuum. The truck has some cosmetic flaws, and truthfully I did not bother to clean her up at all prior to creating this document. The pictures are a good representation of her condition. But there is no major or structural rust or anything like that. The panel for the cruise control switches broke but we have that replacement plastic panel in the truck. The truck has the front left and front right 3 inch RIV valves as well as the rear 6 inch valve and the rear 30 or 36” manway. The hydraulic system just needs a PTO shaft (it appears the locking nut vibrated lose and the drive claims he lost the shaft on the highway somewhere). Last time I used the truck I was able to raise and lower the tank (which is a huge, huge benefit in emptying the debris if you ever do anything like grit interceptor pumping or car wash tanks, etc. I believe the truck also has a system of pipes inside for running warm water through the truck during the winter (see the garden hose valves on rear of truck). I have never used this but I have cleaned out the inside of the tank so I have seen it. The truck HAD a jetter tank - but I believe the front portion of the tank was cut open to have bigger capacity. The jetter is still physically there. You could probably rig up a flat water tank on the sides to restore the jetter functionality. This is not 100% known though. Obviously we have the title.
There is a document with the “truck mileage tracker” that shows the miles/hours on the unit. It appears that sometime after Sept. 2016 the miles stopped scrolling. Since that event we have put just over 1,000 hours on the truck.
Please reach out to me with any questions, I will update this document with anything that anybody may ask.
The unit will need to be picked up from Crofton MD, or from a close by location
