“This is a 22 year old school bus in decent condition for it’s age. The front passenger side mirror is missing as per the photo. A used replacement mirror will be included with the bus for the purchaser to install on their own. This is an AS IS SALE with absolutely no implied warranty. The bus starts, runs, seems to drive well with jn my opinion a good running motor that appears to have a decent amount of life left but I am no mechanic. It was taken off the road due to its age and not its running condition. The bus needs to be jump started as the alternator needs replacing. This bus does come with a BRAND NEW replacement alternator that was never put in. Responsibility for installing this is on the purchaser. Condition of the battery is unknown. Bus starts after being jumped and will start again after turning off if trying within a few minutes but any sort of wait requires another jumpstart.Replacing the alternator should fix this. rest of condition must be judged by photos.” |

Vehicle description
I’m listing this school bus on behalf of a private school bus company in Victoria, British Columbia on Vancouver I’m listing this school bus on behalf of a private school bus company in Victoria, British Columbia on Vancouver Island.
This school bus is over 20 years old but still runs good, seems to drive fine, and would be the perfect project for someone wanting to convert it into a motorhome or anyone who has space to park it.
It runs on Propane which is a rarity these days. It has hydraulic brakes and not air brakes so no air ticket is required to drive this school bus.
Bus has 12 rows of 24 seats capable of seating 48 adults or 72 children. It is roughly 38’ feet long but I cannot guarantee that is 100% accurate.
6.0L V-8 Propane Engine.
It was in regular use driving children to and from school up until 2 years ago in 2018 when it was taken off the road and retired as many companies do when older buses are replaced with newer ones. (See photo decal showing expiration date of September 2018 for commercial use).
It has just over 4000 Kilometres on it since last passing a BC commercial vehicle inspection. The current mileage on this bus is 279,639 Kilometres.
Bus is being sold as is. There will be no implied warranty whatsoever. Only guarantee is the bus can be started and driven. That is it. It appears to run well and my non professional opinion thinks it has plenty of life left and would be a shame to throw such a strong running unit away but storage costs will outweigh the desire to hang on to the bus any longer. The company that owns it is downsizing their bus yard so no longer will have the space to park this bus. If nobody purchases it for the listed starting price of $1,998 CAD then it will be towed away at the end of the month, scrapped, crushed, and cashed in for the scrap metal which isn’t much less than the asking price for this bus.
As a condition of the sale it will need to be picked up and removed from the property whether driven or by tow truck no later than the 28th of December 2020. If you would like the bus towed to an address in the Greater Victoria area we can arrange this for you at an additional cost of $300. You may also arrange for it to be towed at your own expense wherever you like. If not removed from the property by the date above the bus will be towed to the scrap yard and you will forfeit the money from this sale. Any additional special arrangements need to be made directly before agreeing to purchase.
