I am not sure you could find a nicer, cleaner well kept 1997 RV. We had many wonderful Adventurers in our "Winnie." We are selling as we recently invested in a diesel pusher. We live in CO and have taken Winnie over and through many mountains, although she may not be the first to the top of a mountain, she can and does climb, even pulling our car. Mechanically we are NOT aware of any problems and the Ford engine only has 37k miles, we get the oil changes and lube done annually, we installed new sway bars and bushings as they wear out over time, new defroster motor blower. and there are two air conditioners in the RV we did put a new condenser in the front unit, they currently both work great.
There have been many upgrades in the last six years, some by the dealer in NM we bought it from and some which we have done ourselves: New awning, granite countertops, new backsplash in kitchen and bath, new kitchen faucet, with sprayer and soap dispenser, new hot water heater (that works great(), new omni directional TV antenna, and Sony stereo deck.
. THIS 35ft CLASS A HAS ONLY 12,792 MILES AND A LARGE LOUNGE SUPER SLIDE OUT ROOM. Replaced the tires twice during our 6 years, unfortunately the 3 of Hercules have great tread left but some slight weather cracking on the side walls, probably a tire mfg. we would not buy again, two tires in the back right side are less than one year old. Additionally we learned as we were prepping to sell our girl that she will need a new room, the current one is the original fiberglass roof, the sides are delaminating, although at least from walking on the roof can"t feel any soft spots or problems with the structure below the roof (decking). If you are at all handy you could replace yourself, I researched a couple of companies a product and company I liked was Crazy Seal, which offers a 50 year warranty on there product. It can be applied over current roof or directly to wood decking. We are 60/70 age group so crawling around on roofs probably not smart. At one time we had some seepage of water around the skylight above the tube. We added extra caulking around the seal, the skylight has a double dome. The air condition cover in front got cracked at the end but still does the job, we added some Gorilla tape. The one in the back is less than two years old, In the back bedroom near the window the paneling is cracked towards the floor possible from us leaving a window up during a storm
