1997 Newell Coach Limited “The Pearl” This is my personal coach and I only take on a project that is unique, worth the effort and money it takes to upgrade to a fabulous condition. If you are looking for a regular, standard, run of the mill coach, please, don"t waste time on this listing. This Newell should appeal to the person that appreciates quality and safety above all else. If the safety of your family as you navigate the American roads is important to you, read on. It smells, feels and looks great from one end to the other. I will go into detail on what was done, therefore, the description is rather long….What you see is the result of 2 and a half years of work and significant expense to turn this special "97 Newell 45footer to 2020 standards. I bought it in November of ’17. I am the 4th owner. I spent over 50K in repairs and upgrades ( see list below) with the intention to make it fabulous- hope you like it and now due to medical unexpected issues we have decided to part with it. So….let"s start with the history as I have gathered it. It had 4 owners. Built for Wade Burton- NASCAR Driver And Champion for 1.2 Mill. He took it on the circuit and in 2000 traded it in at 101K miles at Newell factory in Miami OK for a new coach. The second owner- Frank Merrill that Owns M5 Quarter Show Horses farms in Wyoming bought it from Newell but had it repainted in his colors- white, yellow and Navy blue. Frank kept it until around 2007 when Rick V. bought it from him and started going out to events with his 3 sons that were in Motocross at the time. As the boys grew and they moved to other things the coach sat in a warehouse in Destin FL for a year and Rick decided to sell it. I bought it for 102k and added 50k of upgrades. It has 175k miles now on a million mile engine- Detroit 60. Do the math, and you will see the fantastic deal this coach is for a smart buyer. This coach is not for everyone, it would appeal to people that appreciate the finer things in life and are willing to pay for luxury, comfort and something truly unique and one of a kind. It is not just a point A to point B coach…. kind of like the difference between a Chevy and a Rolls Royce… I have taken many current pictures that are in the Google albums, also a video that is in the link below. I have several drawers full of books and documents. The list of repairs, upgrades and reconditioning is below. The bus has 175k miles and 3700 hrs on the Kohler 20kw generator. Detroit Diesel 60 - 500 HP engine, 6 speed Allison World Transmission, fresh service , Jakobs 2 stage engine brake, Howard center hydraulic steering stabilizer, tag axle with air lift, cruise control, fast idle, Aqauhot, air generator rollout tray, 12v and 120V air compressors for Aux air, and so much more. Brand new interior front to back - see the video- New furniture, new Frigidaire stainless fridge in 2017 with electric lock , great Sharp microwave, electric cooktop, new Keurig coffee maker, new LED TVs, HDMI driven Entertainment center upfront, new In-motion Winegard Sat dish, alarm system , outside propane grill. Dual leveling system- air and hydraulic- very rare ! New LED side markers bought but not installed yet, custom color LED treatments throughout, custom Infinity Art Medallions in the Lounge. New LED Hi/LO bulbs, bought headlights new and need installed - new color rear camera with sides and front cameras + DVR feature, new docking yard lights, new Zip-Dee awning spring , front CD/Bluetooth dash radio , Navigation system, central bay locking system……and many, many more….look at the list. Diesel tank is 229 gallons, freshwater tank 160 Gal, and 160 gal waste tank. New air dump valves from Dupree Products. Things I did not get to :
- recharge the Dash AC - low on Freon - Since service, the generator runs for a while and then air gets into the small fuel filter and stops - if I fill up the filter starts right up, runs for an hour then gets air again. . .being investigated and fixed.
- The TPMS sensors can not be installed until the valves are turned in the wheels.
- Did not have a chance to install the new headlights and markers- bought and come with the coach.
- Would have liked to get the paint outside to look even better and fix some of the bruises, bubbles and scrapes. Come during the week so we can go to the bank and sort everything out. The clear Indiana title is in my name and in hand ready to transfer. I will conduct a comprehensive training session with you to make sure you are comfortable and know how to operate everything. I hate surprises and I do not plan on surprising anybody with anything. That is why I took many pictures and wrote a long description. You need to be happy with the purchase and value what I have worked on for all this time.
This is not lipstick on a pig….what you see is what you get and it is a marvelous coach.
Somebody will get a nice, updated and reconditioned bus. Some Lounge pillows, bathroom and bedroom rugs, all the new towels, bedroom bedding you see in pictures are all included. Some of the decor and staging decorations things my wife put in for pictures are not included. What is on the walls is yours. TVs and Bluray players are smart and have WIFI connectivity. Once you step in, smell, see and touch everything, you will love it - I guarantee it ! As with everything used , it is sold as is, where is with no warranties expressed or implied. You are welcome to bring your mechanic and do an inspection prior to making an offer. The asking price reflects 10% of the cost new. To recreate this coach today, new, you would pay 1.3 mill.
