1997 Amtrans International School Bus.
We purchased this school bus new in 1997 and have been the only operator since new. In the last several years this bus has basically been a spare bus in our fleet only going out when things get busy. Since the California has closed schools and restricted events due the virus, our fleet has mostly been parked since March 15, 2020 and this bus is no exception. Since it was basically used as a spare we have decided to retire the bus.
Some of the details of the bus: 12 Rows of Seats, 48 Adults or 72 Children can fit in the bus 2 Point Seat Belts at all seating positions. We ordered special seats in 1997 designed for seat belts. Brown Interior Tinted Windows International V8 T444E engine Approximately 441,000 Total Miles
Governed Speed 64MPH Allison AT545 Transmission ESW ThermaCat Diesel Particulate Filter
11R22.5 Tires, the tires on the bus will be changed for tires that are 50% or better on the front axle and legal or better on the rear axle Air Brakes

There are a few things we will be removing from the bus before it leaves our fleet. Company Name (we will remove the Vinyl Letters not paint over the name) Company Operating Authority (again we will remove the vinyl letters) First Aid Kit (it"s not required on a commercial vehicle) Saucon, this is the display on the left of the driver and is only of use to the company DriveCam, the driver monitoring camera in the windshield of the bus Tires, the tires will be changed to 50% or better on the front and legal on the rear
