Vehicle description
Rare Uhaul fiberglass trailer in good condition for sale. These trailers were only made for two years in the 60’s and only 2000 of them exist! My family and I have loved ours to pieces but unfortunately must part with it as we are embarking on a full time RV living journey. Exterior The windows have been recently partially re-sealed (they were then greased however so that they would slide better which lets some water in while driving through rain but not while stationary). The windows are missing the slide handles. There is some minor body damage by the door that was repaired by the previous owner but not very well. One of the back light covers is cracked Hydraulic lift arms on the front window cover are brand new. The pinstripes are not the originals. I have information for a guy that sells replicas of the originals if interested. I just put brand new tires on it and the bearings are good. There is a small amount of visible rust on the hitch but otherwise looks good. Interior There is some fiberglass damage to the interior ceiling. It was poorly repaired by the previous owner. It does not leak but doesn’t look pretty either. The electrical breaker box was just replaced due to being rusted out. The original battery box and cables are present but there is no battery. All electric outlets are functional and we installed a new GFI above the stove. New LED light above sink. There is another LED light by the closet which doesn’t work but I think it is a DC light. All surfaces are VERY clean. All original cushions are present and are actually pretty comfortable. Bunk in front is fully functional Air conditioner will freeze you out! New ice box that drains to the outside added last year. The original trim was missing when we got it. We have never hooked up propane to it so I cannot speak to the operation of the furnace or stove. I am fairly certain that the furnace thermostat runs on DC and needs to have a battery to work. Nice sized closet that we added removable shelves to for storage of pots/pans etc. Lots of under seat storage. The floor is solid and all fiberglass covered with carpeting. This item is also listed locally on Craigslist and may be removed if sold and there are no bids.
