Vehicle description
Selling my school bus I bought a while back to convert into a skoolie. Bought it from Alamo bus sales outside of San Antonio. Reason for selling is I ran out of time to finish the conversion before starting my current job. Now I"m too busy to work on it and it"s gathering dust.
Bus starts and runs well. Title is good, registered as an RV in Vermont. Tires are in excellent condition. The interior is completely gutted, floors, ceiling and wall panels. All rust was ground out and interior floors painted with Rustoleum. Emergency roof exits have been removed and covered with left over sheet metal.
The bus does have a few quirks from the renovations. The engine driven AC and hoses have been removed (you can see the compressor without the hoses in one of the engine pictures). In order to remove the condenser I removed sheet metal from the back left side of the bus (again picture). Plan was to put storage in this section. Also, I removed the switch panel that normally sits to the left of the driver seat. As a result, most electronically controlled items cannot be turned on or off. The front lights and blinkers still work. The electric door opener motor has been removed from the passenger door. The top of the driver side windscreen is cracked, a result from removing sheet metal from that section of the interior. Part of the driver seat belt has been unbolted from the wall. The floor panels to the right of the drivers seat - they allow quick access to the top of the transmission - are loose, but can be easily secured with sheet metal screws.
Bottom line, the bus still drives. The engine runs well and the tires (6 at about $400 a piece) are in great shape. This would be a steal for anyone looking to part the bus out or finish the skoolie.
The bus is currently in the RV lot at Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, TX.
