Vehicle description
1995 Isuzu Fargo RV. This is a super unique opportunity to own a tiny, imported Japanese camper. It is a 1995 Isuzu Fargo camper, literally imported from Japan last year. Super cute and interesting.I bought it as a project but our plans have changed.Buying from a US-based third party these tiny Japanese campers typically retail for $20,000 or higher.1995 Isuzu Fargo95,000 milesFull fiberglass camper body4WD hi/lo (with manual front lockers! ).5-speed manual.Fully Wisconsin/USA legal with Wisconsin collector license plates. No grey-market nonsense. Legally brought into USA via a proper import broker, etc. Easily insured as an RV for super cheap. There"s a sleeping area up top for two people. And the whole lower couch system turns into a bed for two (it"s pretty big when you "convert" all three sitting areas on the main floor). The "shower" is more like a waterproof room but you could easily plumb a shower in if you wanted I think.Because it"s from Japan, they made fantastic use of the small space. There is a TON of storage. Overhead cabinets and lots of under-seat storage.Has freshwater holding tank, grey water tank, water pump, sink, stove, fridge, overhead lights, overhead fan, outlets, etc. Has recently received a fair bit of engine maintenance from a very good diesel mechanic:Water pumpFront seals (camshaft, crankshaft, oil pump)Power steering beltFan/accessory beltValve cover gasketValve cover half-moon seal at the rear of valve coverCoolant hosesTensioner pulleyIdler pulleyThermostat gasketPower steering pumpCoolant flushAir filterOil filters2x new Interstate RV batteriesBiggest issue is that 3 of the living area windows need to be resealed with new butyl tape, and some INTERIOR paneling around those windows (not exterior, which is a fiberglass shell) needs replacing. Also needs some of the plywood subfloor replaced. Pretty straightforward stuff. Don"t let it scare you off! You can do it! Fiberglass exterior shell means the main exterior structure is great condition.Electrical all works. It"s a great opportunity for someone looking for a fun RV renovation. Rest of the camper is watertight. Just the two big side windows and rear window need resealing.I have a ton of parts and caulkings and electrical materials that will come with it. It will get you pretty far on some of the things you might want to do.Getting engine parts is pretty straightforward because it"s similar to the Isuzu P"up from the 1980s. The parts aren"t fancy or complicated. Just need to be a bit resourceful. Getting basic filters is easy for sure. You can go to Rockauto or there are a bunch of popular Japanese auto import websites that sell lots of parts for vehicles like this.Just the cost of purchase and importing this vehicle was around the $10-11k mark. You"re getting a super good deal on this sort of thing and importing one yourself will cost a LOT more than I"m asking, plus you really don"t know what you"re getting in the grand scheme of things.Oh. .and it"s right hand drive!
