This is my 1995 coachman 17ft camper van based on the Ford E250 Econoline van. Owned since 2014 and very well maintained. During our time with this van we have had some incredible experiences travelling to some of the most stunning places in the USA and on each memorable trip, the van has performed flawlessly and been utterly dependable. when we first got it I had a great mobile mechanic (an old school guy who knew how to work on these kind of vehicles) go through and deal with some minor issues. Among these, he also replaced the air conditioning compressor and related components. I also added a modern bluetooth hifi with slimline subwoofer. The main interior air conditioning unit was also new when we purchased the van. The living space features a Dometic fridge, microwave, sink, TV and chemical toilet of which we never used. The fold down bed is surprisingly comfortable! The electrical hook up is 30 amp and the van also has it’s own internal water tank.
Whilst all is in good condition there are a few small issues that you may want to take care of.
The hood closes but does not completely latch
Auxiliary battery needs replacing
As is common on these vans, the side door handle does not open the door. It can be open from the inside though
The check engine light comes on occasionally but does not affect the performance at all.
Recently, the airbag light flashes on intermittently but sometimes not at all.
The headlights are a little foggy and could do with restoration
The driver side window regulator will need to be replaced although it does work if you bash it!
Even with the above issues, the van is still totally able to undertake new and exciting adventures! With 164000 miles, the engine is still completely smooth and these vans have been known to do over 1 million miles!
I have the title and 2 sets of keys plus all the related hook up accessories.
