For Sale: 1994 AM General M35A3C 2 & 1/2 Ton cargo truck. This truck has a drop side bed for easier loading and unloading. I am selling this truck because I am now retired and, while I have the time, I do not have the facilities or finances to properly store or maintain it. I have listed below many of the Benefits and Needs for this truck.
Benefits:
* Has a clear Illinois Vehicle Title * Starts, runs and is drivable. * Transmission fluid has been converted back to Dexron III and shifts smoothly. * Has fiberglass troop racks installed - Original wood racks included. * Has a hard top cab installed - Original soft top included. * Includes new US Gov. fiberglass hood - Original steel hood is on truck. * Includes spare set of new brake shoes - Brakes on truck are good. * Includes spare parking brake shoe set - parking brake is fully functional. * Most brake lines are now rustproof CuNiFer - Brakes are fully functional. * Includes CTIS seals and rings for all wheels but NO wheel bearings - The wheel bearings on the truck are fully functional and assumed to be good - Also includes 6 new CTIS "triple" valves. * Includes 2 Gal. Gillespie 383 Green, 1 Gal. of Gillespie 383 brown and 1 Gal. of Gillespie Flat Black plus 10 cans of Rapco spray touch-up paint. * Windshield washer has been converted to an electric pump system using Govt. parts while maintaining its original appearance. * Has a new spare tire that came with the truck but has never been installed. It has never held air for very long. It may be leaking at valve stem or rim seals
Needs:
* Right Front leaf spring needs or have the rear leaf clip bolt replaced (no broken leaves - See photo). * Air compressor builds air fine in the summer, but is slow to do so in the winter (I suspect that the unloader valves are sticking). * Battery door hinge is rusted shut - the batteries are Odyssey Extreme 6TL and are good. * Front fenders are rusting. * Brake Line conversion to rustproof CuNiFer is 90% completed - Front axle and "coiled" lines near master cylinder still need to upgraded - Brakes are currently fully functional. * Both front tires have a slow leak. It takes about 1 Mo. in cold weather or 2 Mo. in warm weather for them to leak down to about 20-25 Psi. I have never allowed them to go flat and don"t know if they actually will.
There are many other parts included with this truck than can be listed here. All parts will be loaded into the cargo bed, which is covered.
