Vehicle description
This is a 1994 KME Fire Engine. Truck runs and drives amazingly well for its age and has almost new tires all the way around. The power plant is a 6V92TA Detroit Diesel that is Twin Charged (Turbo & Supercharger). This rig had only around 38,000 miles on it and around 5,320 hours. The truck has been stripped of most of its emergency equipment such as siren and light bar but the Grover Emergency tone air horns still remain and function as well as the rear red rotating lights and front red flashers. This engine could easily be put back to work at a fire department as it passed its final pump test in 2017 and still has the ability to pump water. I purchased the fire truck after it was retired from a small town fire department as they received a grant for a new truck and could not afford to maintain this one too so naturally they kept the new one and parted ways with this still functioning, beautiful truck. The truck came in possession with a clear Kentucky title that I had changed over to Recreational Vehicle status at the courthouse and tagged/registered as such and even purchased RV insurance for it. This way, you DO NOT require a CDL to drive it as long as it is being used for recreation purposes. I had plans on turning this rig into a camper with a 9/11 memorial theme, honoring the 343 firemen that lost their lives on that day. I have not started with my plans yet and the truck is still in the same condition I received it in from the previous fire department other than replacing a few lights here and there to make it more road worthy and of course, I hung the Stars and Stripes from the back of the rig. I take this truck out and drive it almost everyday and it is a blast! I have also taken it to schools so that children can learn about and play on it. The possibilities are endless with this truck. You could turn it into a full on camper by removing the pump body on the back and replacing it with a box, turn it into a rollback, log truck, or leave it as is and put it back to work as a fire engine. I really hate to see it leave as I am having so much fun with it but I just don’t have the funds to bring it to it’s full potential and my family and I are looking into purchasing a side by side UTV. I would jump in this truck and trust to take it anywhere and it has never failed to start or break down on me. Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions about pump specs or such and I can look them up for you.$500 deposit due with 24 hours after purchasing and the remaining balance to be paid in full within 7 days of purchase and truck removed from my property within 30 days. I stand firm on the payment terms but if you need longer to remove the truck then I can work with you. The truck can be driven away or if you want it to have it delivered then it will be at your expense and arranged by you. Sorry for any inconvenience but I have had my time wasted many times by non-payers and no-shows on other large item listings.
