Vehicle description
This vehicle was purchased in 2003 as a transportaion bus (29") and was converted to a motor home. An extension was added to the rear frame of the coach (42"removable) so that a generator could be added (not included in the sale) and also to be able to install a ladder to get on top. In 2006 the engine blew while going to the race track in Michigan. It was replaced with a remanufactored Jasper 427 gas ($3200.00). While replacing the engine it was observed that most of all the hoses and steel lines were pretty rusty so all of those were replaced during the install process (approx $750.00). During that year the tires were replaced (almost $2000). These tires have less than 10,000 miles on them. The front axle was rebuilt at that same time ($1600). In 2005 there were some overheating issues so the radiator was replaced and that took care of the problem. There are no known issues that need addressed with this vehicle at this time. During the winter of 2005 the vehicle was repainted (approx $6000.00). Before the painting process, all the lower metal on the body was replaced (approx $1000.00). At that same time, some storage cabinets were added to the left side ($800.00). The bus has been stored inside since it was painted. A picture was put on the listing so you could see what it looked like it when it was originally purchased. Last but not least both batteries were recently replaced. We designed and installed the observation deck on the top. It is made from cedar and is very light weight. With around 25 screws it will fold up as up as you can see in one of the pics. The vehicle does not have a restroom but there is space to install one should you care too
We had a lot of fun with it but out age tells us it is time to go to something much smaller. We are not sorry we bought it and did all that work. You wont be sorry either.
