1995 AM General Humvee M998/M1097A1. This has the upgraded 6.5 L GM Diesel engine with the 3L80 (3 speed) automatic transmission (appears that the transmission was changed out in 2012 on last CARC from a 4 speed to a 3 speed by looking at wiring). 4x4. New seats & mirrors. Drives great and stops great. Replaced oil pressure sensor, Nartron Smart Start System. This variant of Humvee has a higher payload capacity and is equipped with a reinforced frame, crossmembers, lifting shackles, heavy duty springs, shock absorbers, reinforced control arms, heavy duty tires and rims, and differential with a modified gear ratio. Heavy variant capable of transporting a payload (including crew) of 4,400 pounds. Street legal and license plated. Was CARC"d in 2012. 7815 original miles and looking at the vehicle inside and out this appears to be correct (mileage subject to change with use). Extremely clean undercarriage. Customization includes metal hard top and back wall with glass (cab was extended 4" backward behind seat to give driver more room). Was bought as a 2 seater, but can still be converted back to a 4 seater. If you think about the fact that a Polaris ranger, Kubota UTV, etc. costs this much it"s kinda funny what kind of quality you can get for your ranch, hunting lease, etc. All this truck needs is doors and the cab heater motor (haven"t had time to change it out) to make a great daily driver.
