Vehicle description
AM General M35 A3. Ex-military duece and half in good condition. This is a flatbed troop carrier with an Caterpillar 3116 engine, Allison automatic transmission and power steering. Truck has roughly 16,000 miles and 950 hours on it. The body is solid except for minimal amounts of rust on cab (see pictures). In 2017, we have replaced all 6 tires (Michelin 365/80/R20), rear torque rod bushings and rear wheel seals. Last year, we replaced both batteries.
The truck starts easily every time and runs great. To the best of my knowledge, this is what is wrong with the truck: 1. The front passenger side tire has rust or dirt between the wheel and tire so it leaks air. The tire needs to be broken down and rim cleaned. 2. Last summer, the heater core started leaking. It has been bypassed so it doesn"t leak anymore, but to have heat again, the core will need to be replaced. 3. The central tire inflation system (CTIS) hasn"t worked since we bought the truck. Not sure if it is something simple to fix of if a major component is bad. 4. The canvas on the driver"s side seat is bad. The foam is good, but the cover needs to be replaced.
This truck has not been titled since it came from the military. It will be sold with a notarized Bill of Sale only.
