Vehicle description
Up for sale is a rare 1994 Airstream B190 self contained Camper Van with 117,000 miles in overall great condition. I purchased the van last December in Texas with 102,000 miles and drove it home to Indiana. The previous (and only) owners were father and daughter, who kept it parked under an awning for most of it"s life in Texas.
Since I purchased it, it has been an awesome "home on the road" and I"ve used it for work travel. I t"s sad to see it go. I"m selling it because I"m getting ready to move to Washington D.C. for a new job and will no longer need to live on the road during the week.
Here"s a list of work I"ve done on it since I purchased the van last December (over $3,000 in receipts included). 12/11/16 - $905.62 - Spark plugs, wires, ignition wire set, coolant flush & Coolant Temperature Sensor Replaced 1/20/17 - $562.96 - Catalytic Converter Replaced 1/27/17 - $919.23 - Generator Overhauled 2/1/17 - $269.95 - Furnace Computer Board Replaced 4/25/17 - $508.23 - Front Rotors Replaced 6/7/17 - $89.99 - Reserve Battery Replaced
Almost everything on the van works flawlessly, including the AC unit, furnace, toilet, sink, stove, microwave, water heater, and generator. The generator has VERY low hours on it (around 73), starts up immediately and can run anything on board easily. It"s a lot of fun living off the grid - you can run the AC unit or furnace off of the generator and I"ve done this on multiple occasions. AC in the front and the back blows ice cold. Couch folds out into a bed and there is a large bed over the cabin as well, so it sleeps up to 4.
However, there are a few things that don"t work. The refrigerator doesn"t work, but still serves as an effective cooler. The cruise control and horn need rewired. Also, one of the bolts holding the old catalytic converter to the exhaust header sheared off in the header when it was being replaced. This doesn"t effect performance, just makes a pattering noise while driving (air escaping from between header and catalytic converter), but I"d eventually go ahead and replace the exhaust header. Additionally, there are some minor cosmetic imperfections which are to be expected (the ladder is partially broken, dent in the left rear door, denting under rear left quarter panel, fading trim). Please see pictures for details.
Overall, it really is an awesome Airstream Class B Motorhome for its age and I"m hesitant to sell it because they aren"t easy to find. But I"m excited to send it off to a family that can put it to good use!
Let me know if you have any questions and happy bidding!
