Located near Bass Lake, Ca. In the Sierra"s. 45 miles east of Madera-Fresno. 35 Foot 1993-94 Winnebago Vectra. 7 new tires. 67,000 miles on Cummins diesel and Allsion 6 speed. 230 hp, turbo charged, intercoooled, waste gate, jake brake. 2 valve engine, mechanical fuel injection. The best of this style engine. has a fresh oil change and filter, too. I just replaced the serpentine belt, thermostat and the water pump:: I thought the pump was bad it it is the water temp sending unit malfunctioning. . . I just replaced the main battery. In November I put 3 gallons of Snow paint on the roof. Onan 7000 watt generator, propane powered. 500 hours. very quiet. What you are buying are the new tires (Less than 1500 miles) the engine and trans. 100 gallons fuel. 50 gallons gray water and 50 gallons black. 100 gallons fresh water. has "in the basement" AC and heat. Gets up to 15 mpg. 12mpg common. air over fluid brakes, Disc brakes. All solid oak interior, all hardwood. Oak floor in kitchen, herring bone pattern. it needs refinishing. no particle board in this motorhome.
So, here"s what it needs:: Interior labor and some materials. I removed the carpet in bathroom and bought tiles for it. All the carpet should be pulled. I was going to put in linoleum and put rugs over that. Easy to maintain. some of the curtains operate properly, some don"t. the two little roof windows need replacing. The awning needs replacing, I already removed it. ($130). The water heater needs replacing ($260 delivered, propane and electric) The thermostat for the heater and air conditioning needs replacing ($70-$160) the four motorhome levelers need to be rebuilt, the previous owner moved the RV with them down. . . . They are repairable. The flouresent light tubes need replacing. ($30-$80, go L.E.D., they last forever, very effecient.) The front seat arm rests are well worn :: $30-$100. I am testing the tach and speedometer, I just lost the sending unit on each, I think:: $40-60. the water temperature sending unit needs replaing. it"s VDO. $12 or $23 for the gauge and the sending unit. I replaced the main battery two months ago but there are also two auxilary batteries for interior lighting, etc. (Cost:: $200 for 2)/ The exterior is OK but. . it has some fiberglass stress marks in the cab area and one area behind driver door has lifted. approx 16" x 16". I sealed it. I have the repair material. So when repaired the motorhome will like a coat of paint. I Strongly suggest using a Quaility House paint. . I was going to use a light, "dove gray" on the lower portion and an off white for the body. I would use satin finish by Behr, Sherwin Williams, any High quality paint. You Don"t need automotive paint. Cost of paint, $155. I estimate the total number of hours needed to repaint at 60-80 hours. All the interior labor time, 60-90 hours. cost for all materials, around $1100. When finished these Vectra"s are selling for $15-$20,000. But if you want to refinish it and use it then this is an excellent unit. You will have a total cost around $5300 and 120-170 hours time. The Cummins and the Allison are 500,000 mile units and are bullet proof.
