Vehicle description
I bought this 92 casita 16" spirit deluxe in 2014 and have been improving it ever since. At one time I was keeping a journal and had over 80 upgrades and mods, but I lost it along the way and can"t remember everything. Here is a partial list. All rivets replaced with stainless bolts. 2 maxx aire window vents. Custom awnings on 3 windows. New sewer pipe and holder. New roof vent, with maxx aire cover. All outside plastic pieces replaced. All cabinet doors replaced with hardwood pegboard to improve ventilation. Storage was added under the ac, under the table, over the closet, under the bed, and shelves were added to the closet and under the kitchen seat. The cabinet over the table was removed and replaced with a larger custom cabinet. Custom towel racks in the shower. Stereo cd player with 4 speakers. Carrier rack on back. Stabilizer jacks in the front. The following are 1 year old- custom hybrid mattress. Dorm fridge. Toilet seals. Toilet dump valve. Hydronic heating system. Yes, this casita can be and is heated with the hot water heater. Now for the brand new stuff done in the last 8 months. All foam in the cushions replaced. 2 step folding entrance steps mounted. Tail lights replaced with led and moved up higher for better use. The carpet was removed and the floor painted because I couldn"t decide if I wanted carpet or vinyl. The outside was painted shiny silver for better heat reflection. It now looks like an airstream bambi. Bumper mounted spare tire carrier. Tongue was extended 2 foot and a custom storage box made and added. A new longer wiring harness. The BIG ONE. 5200# leaf spring axle with big brakes. It will try to stop the truck now. 3 new 6 lug 225/75/r15 10 ply tires. Spare has no miles and the other 2 have about 150 miles. I have done many more smaller mods and improvements. Now for the ugly, sorta. I put 2 part foam on the roof to protect it from hail, and to help insulate it. It works great. But it isn"t pretty. I chose usefulness over looks. This casita is road ready and off-road ready. You can"t go wrong with this one. The only reason I am selling it is. .because I got married.
