For sale is a virtually unused 1993 AM General M1097 HMMWV with only 268 original miles. This Humvee was delivered to a local defense contractor who manufactured and installed up-armoring kits. This one was used for the design and test fitting of the various related components. It remained on the company"s premises its entire life until it was sold as surplus property recently. Features a 6.2L turbo diesel engine, automatic transmission (no overdrive), 200 amp alternator, new seat covers, Optima batteries and a new electronic smart start box.
Also included is a metal slant back top and two rear X-doors (front doors not included). This top was not installed on this particular vehicle, but can be with the use of a few additional parts that are readily available. As you likely know, these tops are in demand and valuable. The original soft top currently on the vehicle is cracked and weathered.
I"m listing this vehicle for a friend who received a Bill of Sale from the defense contractor that sold it. There appears to be a variety of options for titling these rigs (including dirtlegal.com), but the current owner didn"t buy it for that purpose and never pursued getting it titled. Consequently, it is be sold with a Bill of Sale only .
