1991 Winnebago LeSharo
* *NOTE: WE ARE LOCATED IN CHICAGO. I SUGGEST LOCAL PICK UP. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING AND PAYING FOR THE SHIPPING. $1000 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT REQUIRED.* *
Smallest Winnebago ever made. Was a hybrid between a van and a camper. Has seating for 8 people. Gets 16 to 18 miles per gallon gas. am/fm cassette player. (we used a cassette adapter to play mp3 and music from the phone. Two decently comfortable beds Sleeps 4. Rear heater works well as does the rear AC. It gets a lot of attention anywhere we travel.
Has the updated Bendix gas engine. Only 45,000 miles. All the appliances work. Refrigerator. Stove. Sink. Toilet. Shower. Propane rear heater. Cabin air conditioning on top of the roof works when it"s plugged in to house current. Interior seats are brown and in very good condition. Prior owner was a licensed mechanic who changed fuel injectors, and various engine related parts. We have had a custom radiator made and installed. New alternator and belts. New front brake pads.new coach battery. New engine battery. Muffler and pipes. Tires are newer with less than 1500 miles on them. Cruise control fixed. Nothing leaks. Last year we travel to Florida from Chicago and back with no problems. We have attended annual LeSharo Rally"s regularly. We have taken it two local car shows and displayed it where people are all very interested. In fact at one show we Laughingly got a trophy for most unusual.
Needs work: *Generator. * Vent motor, *Engine (front seats) air conditioning need recharging. *Rotors will need updating next time pads are changed, (as advised by my mechanic.). Awning needs new fabric.
The vehicle is in very decent shape for being 27 years old. In Illinois we can get antique plates that are good for three years at a pop. I recommend Good Sam insurance and roadside assistance as they have always done well for me. (In a very weird way, I ended up with two of these and also have a 1989 LeSharo up for sale also. It needs more interior restoring, and that is the difference between the two. That one is available for 4500. See my other post, If it is still available.)
