Vehicle description

I am very sad to sell this truck but California will not let me register it any longer. So the truck needs to be leave California. The truck runs and functions well, it is an older truck but everything works. I have owned this truck for 7 years and it has been very reliable, in the past year I have replaced the rear tires, rebuilt the rear end, replaced all of the coolant hoses, belts, alternator ,and radiator, as well as add a pack exhaust brake. The person I purchased it from acquired the truck from Texas where it was had some sort of boom and auger attachment. The previous owner built the bed to haul is 5th wheel, and a side by side of some sort. He also rebuilt the motor and transmission, he was a medium duty diesel mechanic and he searched for this truck specifically because it was the last year of the mechanical 466, and it had and Allison mt-643 automatic 4 speed transmission. According to him, he rebuilt the truck to make as much power as possible from the 466. I have no reason to doubt him as the truck has easily pulled a 30,000 lbs trailer with 4,500 lbs of hay on the bed over the continental divide 5 times for me. The truck as a GVWR of 36K
That said there are some issues to this truck, first the speedometer has never been accurate since i owned it. Currently it indicates 35 mph when actual speed is 55 mph. Because of this the odometer is not correct and is beyond the mechanical limits anyway. This truck is not super fast will do 70 mph but the engine rpm is rather high at that speed as there is no overdrive. The air conditioning I added, the compressor and evaporator and condenser are only a couple of years old, it sure does not freeze you out. the body is in pretty good shape, it appears that the truck was involved in some sort of accident involving the right fender and perhaps the passenger side cab corner, as there is some fiberglass repair that was done that, and the passenger side cab clearance light is not quite square. There is a decent amount of cab rust, I replaced/covered most of the larger holes several years ago prior to bed-lining the entire interior and roof.
Overall this truck is solid and ready to go to work, I am selling it basically for what I have in it in the past year because I need a new truck. feel free to contact me with any questions.
