Vehicle description
1990 Rexhall Vision class A motorhome, 22", 57K miles, dually rear. Ford E350 chassis with 460 engine (fuel injection) and C6 transmission. Runs and drives. Has tow hitch receiver/wiring hookups. Some signs of leakage in the ceiling (see pix). Please look at the pix closely to confirm that youcan either fix the roof/ceiling damage, or can live with it. The pic of the bathroom shows the worst area. We bought this motorhome a little over 5 years ago but life got in the way, and our RV"ing days are probably over. So we never really got up and going with this. If you can’t live with some spider webs, especially in the undercarriage, please look elsewhere. The registration tags are 2014,and the fees to register will be $707 based on local ZIP code (DMV printout provided). Buyer will be responsible for fees and smog by signing a statement stating as such after winning the bid. Local pickup in N.Cal area, approx 35 miles west of Sacramento. If you win the auction but send a transport truck to collect therig, you are responsible for all costs and arrangements and I will make every attempt to work with the transport company. However, experience shows me that brokers involved in such arrangements often do not do their due diligence, and contract with trucks that are either not equipped for what they are hauling, or they miss their time window for pickup and have to reschedule. If things cannot be worked out in a reasonable way, buyer will be responsible for removing the vehicle within 3 days of payment. Recommend BYOT (bring your own tech, or better yet, BE your own tech) to examine before bidding. Inspections will be done on premises, at the residence. Both the engine oil dipstick and the transmission dipstick broke off; normal oil pressure can be observed on oil gauge on dash. The area where the hinges attach to the hood needs to be repaired. Currently the hood is secured by 2 bolts on each side, but the repair should be considered temporary. Lots of tread on all tires. There is a coach battery installed, and I confirmed that with that switched on, the interior lights will come on. We turned the generator on and it spun over, but I was told that the reason that it didn’t start is that the gas tank is less than halfway full. Beyond that, I have not tested anything as I am not an RV guy. There will be no after-sale contact regarding such things as fees, smog, or ‘I didn’t know that thus and so didn’t work’. Those things can be discussed when you come to inspect the rig, so I will not answer questions online regarding things I have not tested, and I won’t answer questions that are answered in this ad. Test drives can be done on surface roads near where the rig is located, and freeway speeds can be simulated. You can idle the engine for 10-15 minutes to see that it runs nice and cool. Obviously if you win the bid but don’t pay you will be reported and dinged. This is a nice little rig and somewhat rare; it’s gotten rave reviews from prospective buyers locally, but they were all ‘tire-kickers’. Rexhall is a California company, and it is likely that this rig has lived its’ entire life in California.
