“Sold As IsThis van has not made any long trips in a while but it still runs good and drives smooth. It is started up and driven locally regularly. We found that the motor has good power, idles fine, and runs without any hesitation. The transmission was rebuilt in 2008 at 73k miles and still shifts as it should, no slipping, no problems. Brakes work well. Needs new tires. Currently 87,381miles (see pic)” |

Vehicle description
1990 Dodge Ram V8 5.2L Camper Van Designed by L.E.R. Industries Body - paint is chalky. some minor rust in front around windshield and rear door (see pics). Windshield trim is discolored and rusty looking (see pic). These are all simple and not very expensive to repair. Rear driver side over tail light is dented and scratched from spare tire rail being hit or pushed into the door. It looks as though water has gotten behind the seals of the rear door allowing rain water to seep in and causing the partical boards on the ends to swell and fall apart (see pic). Overhead roof vent cover has a broken grill (see pic). All rubber seals around windows are cracked and dry rotted due to it’s age. All hoses and attachments are in good condition. Interior - Interior upholstery is amazingly in great condition. Captains seats, 2 in front and 2 in back row. There is a little sofa behind the driver’s seat currently that can be removed and replaced with a captain’s seat. Tons of storage cabinets and a closet. Cab A/C is blowing, but not cold, maybe needs a charge due to its age. Rear A/C runs super cold. Cab heat and blower motor work well. We have not run the rear heat and thermostat that works off of propane so we cannot say if it works or not. Radio does does not work. Carpet is original. All overhead cabin lights have some wires that have been loosened and need reconnected (these are visible and should be easy for someone who has the knowledge). Original owner’s manuals for all appliances and toilet. Microwave and gas stove work. The toilet works and is in great condition. Refrigerator/freezer is clean but does not power on. Drivetrain -5.2L engine runs great. Temperature stays steady. Oil pressure gauge appears normal. Transmission shifts fine. Differential has no noises or excessive play. Exhaust is in good condition. There is a rattle in the undercarriage upon start up and idle only. There is a piece of sheet metal that may be vibrating or the exhaust clamp is loose. Not sure but it stops when van is in drive. Brakes . Pedal feels normal. brakes work well, no grinding squeals or unusual noises, fluid level is good and parking brake works. Frame - Appears to be in very good condition for a 30 year old vehicle. Light surface rust, and rubber is cracking nothing serious that we can see. Floors are in good shape.
Everything mechanically seems to be in good working order but it still needs a new set of tires to drive long distances. If you do decide to drive it upon picking up after purchase, you will need to have tires put on here in town. Tires: LT235/75R15 Location: Jacksonville, IL
