We bought this Airstream from an auction and began rehabbing it. But, we dont have time to complete the repairs however the worse (and most expensive part is done)
The water connection developed a leak in the rear area (bedroom) and over time the frame rusted and deteriorated.
This airstream had a small leak in the rear bedroom where the water hose inlet is.
Although the leak was small, it went unnoticed for some time apparently, and the floor under one of the beds was soft, but more importantly the frame rusted.
So, we pulled up part of the rear floor and had a section of the frame replaced by an experienced welder.(parts specific for airstreams.
Now the floor needs to be put back, carpeted and the belly pan in the rear replaced.
The tanks were not removed because they are just forward of the area affected.
The AC unit on top was missing when we got it, but we have had the opening covered with tape and plastic.
It needs: an AC unit installed. (we dont have one) rear section of plywood replaced. carpet installed water connection replaced bumper reinstalled Beds and nightstand put back and installed bellypan replaced
