Vehicle description
I"m selling my 1989 Silver Streak. It"s in storage at the Colorado River in Earp, Ca. ( by Parker, AZ.) I started renovating (see pics,) but I only get to it one/two weeks a year, so progress is slow.
Title is clear. CA Registration is current.
35" trailer.
Tires have less than 500 miles on them. They"ve been in the AZ heat for six summers so may need replacing.
Body is in good shape in terms of dings & dents. etc. needs a new clear coat. Door closes, but not all the way. .lock needs realigning,
Black strip around the trailer shines up nicely with Armor-all.
There are five awnings. I don"t know if they are original, but at the very least they are vintage. Main awning over the door measures 20". Awning to the back measures 4 1/2". Opposite side awnings are 10" & 15" and one in back is about 5". All five awnings have aluminum protectors. Awnings have not been exposed in over six years. I have owned the trailer for about eight years, and only ever used the awnings on the door side, so it"s possible the others haven"t been exposed in over a decade. I don"t know the conditions of the awnings. I took a pic of the small one. No tathers/tears. A bit off-colored. The material was in good condition with no thinning.
Electronic lift to raise/lower for tow vehicle. Sway bars are included. I think it weighs about 8,000 pounds. Could be heavier. Needs bigger-size truck for towing. .like a dually.
Refrigerator works and is a 3-way. Long door to the left of the refrigerator is a pull out pantry.
I have used all electric appliances for cooking. The stove/oven is propane. As far as I know, everything propane works. .I just have only used electric everything. When I first bought the trailer, I had the head of the 30 AMP plugin replaced. The electrian thought one of the wires inside the thick cord that plugs into the pedestal was for 50 AMP only and and cut it back. Turned out, it was for a few outlets inside. It"s not been an issue for me. The outlets I use work fine. Fairly simple fix. .I just don"t play around with electricty. Two 5 gallon propane tanks. Trailer has both black and gray tanks. I don"t know the sizes.
I replaced the water heater before storing it. I use electric hot water heating. If I remember right, it will heat with propane as well.
Roof A/C works fine.
Cabinetry is solid wood. .not pressed wood or vaneer. I beleive it is oak. When I get to the river, I oil the wood with an orange oil. For the most part, cabinetry is in good condition. Drawer facings on small drawers next to the oven have wear.
Counter tops are in good condition.
I removed the sofa to replace it. Most of the flooring has been pulled up as well.
Large closet in the hallway with mirrored doors and small built-in drawers inside.
E verything works in the bathroom, BUT. .I recommend replacing sink, toilet, and shower,. There was at one time some mold. I believe it has all died off being in the desert heat, but nonetheless it was there.
Bedroom"s in the back and holds a queen size bed. Mattress needs replacing. I think there is storage under the bed too.
All the windows are tinted and offer great views all the way around.
Something about aluminum trailers (Silver Streak/Air Stream) is they last for YEARS & YEARS. I believe all "Sterlings" were custom built, and this was top-of-the-line in 89.
PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS. IF I FORGOT TO MENTION SOMETHING, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
THE RIVER IS ABOUT FOUR HOURS AWAY. IF PLANNED IN ADVANCE, I CAN MEET TO SHOW THE TRAILER MOST DAYS OF THE WEEK.
