You are bidding on a 1989 Mercedes-Benz 250 GD Wagon “Wolf”. This is the military version of the famous Mercedes G-Wagon. This vehicle comes with a clean New Jersey title. The vehicle for sale is an excellent example of this military vehicle. The truck has a 24 volt ignition system, diesel power for long life and reliability, four wheel drive and convertible soft top. This vehicle runs and drives as you would expect from a Mercedes. It starts reliably every time even in the cold, shifts smoothly and steers easily. All instrumentation is in working order except for the gas gauge (which probably needs a new sending unit) as well as all vehicle lighting. The tires (including the spare) and brakes are in good condition. The vehicle has a functional military heat and AC. All vehicle wiring appears to be in good condition. The vehicle retains its desert tan military paint. The paint applied by the military provides a rubbery irregular surface to prevent destruction from magnetic mines and small arms. The interior is clean and original. This truck is at home on the road as it is off road. The truck has been garaged kept. It is a much more comfortable and sophisticated vehicle than a traditional military jeep. The vehicle has never had any accidents and is rust free (as you can see from the pictures). The removable top is like new. It also has the original pioneer tool set. The vehicle was imported from Poland and it comes with the original title from Poland and the original license plates from Poland. Mileage on the vehicle can’t be documented despite the fact that the speedometer is working and appears to be the original unit. Based on the speedometer the mileage is about 14,000 miles but the original U.S. titles says 74,976 miles. I have only used it lightly since I purchased the vehicle. This vehicle could be the starting point for an award winning restoration or can be driven as is to family picnics, the beach or as a great tailgater.
