Vehicle description

I purchased a 1989 Coleman Colorado back in June 2017. It has a double-bed slide-out, and a bench sofa/table. The pictures of the trailer as I purchased it, are those with the grey canvas. I think I paid $350.00 cash for it. Today, it"s disassembled. You are buying the disassembled version, it"s basically your "Project" to put back together. Included are multiple part replacements/improvements, as described below.
The trailer is 10’ 5 1/2” x 6’3” (closed) and 14"8" x 6"3" (open). The original specs say it weighs 1,600#. So smaller cars should be able to tow this. I towed it originally with my 2015 6 cyl Jeep Wrangler, when I bought it.
I do have all the original poles and mattresses and other furnishings from the inside, which are included with this "Project".
The wood floor was press-board and was rotten. The canvas was also shot. I have thrown out the original canvas.
I had intentions of restoring the trailer, and replacing the wood, canvas, and bench/table (makes into a bed) with a jackknife sofa.
I didn"t get very far.
Here"s the shape it"s in today. .
I took apart all the walls and floors. I had the intention of replacing the floors and bottom of slide, with marine grade plywood (as recommended online) and putting an epoxy protectant on it. I never got the plywood but I have the original (and now wet) pressboard for you to use as a template as part of this "Project".
I did get the trailer"s frame reinforced by Kurts Trailer in Englishtown NJ. They also replaced the axle and springs with a new 3500# and rims/tires. See the invoice with my exclusions hand-written. The trailer with improvements is included in this "Project".
There is already some rust beginning on the frame, but not too much. It should be painted with black rustoleum. I paid about $1,000 for the improvements.
I also purchased a complete canvas replacement, including the travel cover, from www.CanvasReplacements.com for $1,333.00. It"s still in the box and is included with this "Project" purchase.
1 x Complete Canvas (TT-SWSH4743-59091) = $1,025.00 1 x Coleman Colorado Cover (TT-SWSHCOLE-RC) = $308.00
See the colors of the canvas that I picked, attached. For the top, I went with Choice #1.
I had the intention of replacing the bench/sofa/table with a jackknife sofabed, which I purchased off a truck for about $350. It"s similar to: https:/ www.etrailer.com/RV-Furniture/Thomas-Payne/195-000009-017.html. It"s included as part of this "Project". It will fit on the side of the trailer where the bench/table originally was, with room to spare for a small custom end-table, and is much more practical than the bench/table.
I ended up buying a 2006 LivinLite QuickSilver pop-up, so I lost my interest in completing this project. And I"ve since decided to buy my Uncle"s big motorhome, so I have no interest in pop-ups at this time.
I have registered the trailer in New Jersey, and NJ isn"t supposed to title these light trailers, but someone at the DMV made a mistake and gave me a title, so I do have the clear title that I can transfer to you.
There is a lot of potential here, if you are handy, and good at rebuilding things. There"s tons of info online from others who have rebuilt these neat little trailers.
Here"s some rebuild threads:
