Vehicle description
For sale is a 1989 AM General M998 with 6,700 original miles. It runs and drives great!
-This includes four metal X-Doors (check eBay"s sold listing - new these are $5,000 and on most of the other M998"s for sale, they only have the soft doors (about $100 a piece). These have the glass windows that go up or down -You will actually get four brand new unused soft doors as well (I purchased a full soft-kit and only used the top, so the doors are never used). -New top (within the last two years - very light use - had it off most of the time) -Vehicle has been garage kept -It was just looked over by a former military mechanic and he said it was in excellent condition (many have bolts broken off the drive shaft for example - these are all good and strong and present) -New glow plugs installed less than 50 miles ago -Goodyear 37x12.50R16.5 tires in very good shape -Two new batteries as of under 2 years ago and all maintenance up to date -Added a rear license plate frame (also have the rear license plate light that will be included, but never was installed) -Front brush guard -Added rear three-point harnesses -Rear seats are used jeep wrangle seats for a much more comfortable ride than the fold up seats -Front seats are the full-version seats (these are very expensive compared to the fold-up kind many others have) -All lights work and settings of the lights (black-out, driving, etc) -Vents and air work like they should -6.2l Diesel 3 Speed Auto Transmission - I have fuel additive that will come with the car too (about $70 worth). I always added it per a former military guy"s recommendation -Doors come off easily as does the top to an amazing door-less and topless ride (talk about turning some heads!) -Keyed start upgrade (4 keys included). I also kept the original keyless start that I will include in case you want to switch it back -Newly installed trailer hitch - military style -I kept as much of this stock military as I could. I think the only thing that is not is the back seats (the wrangler seats) and I am not sure if the front seats are technically military (but they are designed for this vehicle)
Very hard to find with these low miles.
I"m in a state that cannot have on-road use (Minnesota), so I"ve only been driving it very light use on solid-surface country roads. This used to have an IL on-road title before I purchased it. It is signed over to me and stamped at the DMV when I got the off-road permit for it. So this is more for reference (and will be included) if/when you want to title this in your state. I can send you a copy of the title via text or email (didn"t really want to put it in this listing though as an image).
Please check your own state rules before buying.
Call, email, text with any questions. I can also send you a video of it starting up (I"ll even include something like a news article proving the date in that video - just to add that extra piece of mind).
Greg:
$1,000 deposit due at purchase
Payment must be made by cashier"s check or wire and paid in full/cleared before you can pick up the vehicle. I"m also interested in taking partial payment in kind if you have a used Skid Steer (under 4,000 hours) to cover part of the purchase price. We"d still complete the purchase through (to make sure we follow the rules), you just wouldn"t have to wire the full funds if we took that skid as some of the payment.
Buyer is responsible to picking up or arranging for shipping of the vehicle (remember it is off-road only in my state, so you can"t just drive it away).
