ALL IMPORTATION EXPENSES INCLUDED IN THE PURCHASE PRICE. A true Soviet Army SUV, this particular one is a very rare version. It was built for high ranking officers for the Red Army, fitted from the factory with German ZF Power Steering system and insulated (four-season) removable soft top! Our agent in Russia acquired this UAZ from the family in St Petersburg; Grandfather was Colonel stationed . . in GDR and it was his vehicle. He was allowed to purchase it on his discharge from the military in the early nineties. He used it on his Dacha (country home) very little and kept it in the heated garage all the time. We purchased it in 2017 and imported into the US. All export and import duties are paid; it is now titled in MA and can be registered in any state in the US. When we received this UAZ we immediately recognized that we lucked out big time. It was, in fact, an officers variant that was only available in the late eighties and only single units were made. While the condition was simply amazing, it was a 30-year-old vehicle. At over $7K in improvements, we spared no expense and updated all age affected parts: replaced tires, tubes, suspension bushings, brake hoses, brakes wheel cylinders, brake master cylinder, clutch master and slave cylinders, overhauled all electrical connections, removed the engine and replaced aged seals and gaskets, replaced seals in the driveline, installed new carburetor, new fuel pump, fuel hoses, as well as battery, vacuum and coolant hoses as needed. We also did rust preventive maintenance work to preserve its original condition. This UAZ performs very close to how it did in 1988 when it was manufactured in Ulyanovsk, Russia for Red Army Officers. This UAZ is located in our beautiful showroom in Boxborough, MA. You have to see and feel it or at least take your time to look at our great photos, view our detailed videos. In the photos, it is shown without the top portion of the doors installed. All four are included with the vehicle and can easily be installed and removed just like the roof. While UAZ is best fitted for the Natural Landscape, unlike the majority of special interest vehicle, it is also practical. If desired it can function as an every-day use vehicle with plenty of room for the driver and passengers, cargo space, removable soft top, unbeatable head turner, off-road vehicle, on-road vehicle. It is a solid alternative to the popular vehicles like The Original Toyota FJ, Land Rover Defender, Custom Jeep Wranglers, which can now-days run close to $100K. In addition, let"s not forget that UAS is very easy to work on, parts are available and inexpensive because it is still in production in Russia.
