This is the original Chevrolet Beretta campaigned by Baja Boats for the 1988 Trans-Am and IMSA-GTO series. In later years it received sponsorship from the US Treasury to promote US Savings Bonds and was featured in an article in the Wall Street Journal. Eligible to compete with all vintage race organizations, IMSA GTO and Trans-Am events. Unique race car with great race history.
Original V6 4.5 liter Katech engine, rebuilt by TOE Performance in California, Jasper 4-speed racing transmission, Franklin quick-change rear end. Well sorted and well prepared. Has competed in vintage Trans-Am and IMSA-GTO events including the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Sonoma Historic Automobile Races, and the Pacific NW Historics since 2006. Very fast and very fun to drive. Lots of spares.
