You are looking at a 1987 Freightliner tandem dump truck with a CAT motor, 13 speed transmission, air suspension, air gate and power tarp. I bought this truck approximately four (4) years ago as a tractor and put a used dump body on it. We put about 50,000 miles on it, mostly hauling blacktop. No paperwork, but previous owner told me the motor was a 425 CAT and he had it gone over at approximately 500,000 miles. He used it for hauling mail until he lost the route. As you can see, by the pictures, the truck is in very good shape for the year. It is actually a fun old truck to drive. It does have a jake brake and the air conditioning works. It does have air to the back and a trailer hitch. I feel that this truck could be driven anywhere without any problems; and to back that statement up, I could have it driven to your location from Windber, PA, 15963 for $2.50 a mile. I really do not know of anything that it needs to be put to work. It has been used daily up until a few weeks ago when we updated to some newer truck.
