Up for consideration is a very well cared for 1987 Dodge Xplorer 221 with a very low 53k miles (not 153k). This Class B has always been stored indoors and it shows. The interior is extremely clean and original. Many campers have been "restored" inside to possibly cover up previous water damage but this one is completely original and ready for your personal touch. There has never been any leaks.
Amenities include: - 3 way fridge (110V, 12V and LPG) - Stand up wet bath - Rear full size bed - Jackknife sofa - Furnace - New water heater last year
Maintenance in the last two years (approximately 2500 miles) includes: - New fuel pump - Full tune up to include spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor and wires - New brakes all the way around including two front calipers - Airbags on rear axle - New radiator
Maintenance in the last two weeks: - 4 new tires - New U joints in driveshaft - Transmission mount - Oil change
Everything functions properly. The van runs very well and has plenty of power with the 5.9L (360 c.i.) V8. It drives very easily and is ready to hit the road with no deferred maintenance. I wouldn"t hesitate to fill up the tank and drive anywhere. There is no generator although it does have the generator prep package that includes all of the wiring which would make installation easy if the new owner chooses to add one. We used a Honda EU2000i generator which is much quieter and more efficient than an Onan. There is also a prep package for a rooftop A/C. All of the wiring needed for installation is present including the thermostat.
