1987 "Airstream Sovereign" A True Classic in Very Good Shape!
This Classic Airstream is in terrific shape for its age! I have owned it the last 5 years after purchasing it from someone who was storing it in a barn. The title is a salvage title I believe it is due to a minor accident that did no structural damage. I"ve never noticed anything majorly wrong with it. Everything works - the only issue I know of is when I try to switch the refrigerator to gas - its fickle and doesn"t always work.
The body is sound - does have few small dings otherwise good. Tows like a dream! The interior is original and immaculate - just needs updating. There isn"t one broken hinge, handle, or rip. I did replace the flooring with a "rubaroc" material that is durable, and slip resistant - it will last forever. The blue matches the blue on the exterior of the camper.
I have really enjoyed this classic beauty and am hesitant to part with it, but the girlfriend really wants more space and bells and whistles. Use it as it is or refurbish - you"ll love it!
