1986 Prevost LeMirage 40’
Coach was originally built as a tour coach for a band and was never a seated coach. This 40’ diamond in the rough is powered by a Detroit 8V92 that has had a recent in frame overhaul and is coupled to the famous Allison transmission. Coach has 3 rooftop HVAC units with heat and a Cummins generator that was recently overhauled by Rainbow electric in Illinois. Generator has been re installed but will need new switching gear to perform well in coach. We purchased this unit from a bus dealer near Chicago Illinois in hopes to be our home away from home and see the world. We began an overhaul of the interior of the coach and lost steam. Coach has new marble flooring in the kitchen and bathroom. New wall tile in the bathroom and carpet has been purchased for the bedroom and living space but not installed. New oak bed frame and chair rail was made for the bedroom. Since sitting, the coach has had some water intrusion and interior of bedroom and living room will need to be refinished. All floors are solid. I had a certified Detroit diesel technician check overhead valve settings and overall engine inspection at time of purchase. I drove this from the dealer to storage and never drove it again. Bus is currently in storage and has not run for a few years. Bus will need to be towed out and cannot be worked on where it is currently stored. This will make a very affordable start to a great project coach. Our loss is your gain.
