An awesome combination of civilian and military design. This square body Chevy is the one you want: only 34,200 actual miles and it runs great, has good brakes, new tires, 4WD climbs like a billy goat. Super clean all around with the only real rust on the cab corners.
This one seems to have had a pretty good life based on it"s condition. This is one of the nicest examples I have seen in a long time. These are getting scarce and especially original and unmodified examples (versus those beaters that have been at the mercy of Bubba, Jr).
GM CUCVs were made from 1983 to 1986 so this was the last year and has the benefits of having all the little mid-year model upgrades.
Some standard features are: GM’s 6.2L J-series Detroit Diesel V8 engine, TurboHydramatic TH-400 3-speed automatic transmission, New Process NP-208 2-speed chain drive transfer case with 1.96:1 low ratio , open Dana 60 front axles with 4:56 gearing , GM 10.5-inch Corporate 14 Bolt Differential with No-Spin lockers (AKA Detroit Locker) with 4:56 gearing .
