NEGATIVES:
When I bought the camper, it had some wood rot in the overhead sleeping area, ALL of it was removed and replaced. Did some preliminary sealing around the windows, however on some occasions, if the wind is blowing in the right direction and you get a torrential rain, it will get damp. It never happened while sleeping many nights overnight through rain storms. But did happen while it was parked and the wind was blowing in the right direction and left a little bit of a stain.
The wood is still new, no rot. So the next owner will have to go in and do some more sealing and locate the culprit. I was told it could be a window seal or a channel in the window that is backing up and getting water in it. Not really sure but however full disclosure and need to mention it! Havent noticed any other leaks and all is solid.
This one is not really a negative, and is more of an intrinsic characteristic of Toyota motor homes. Its not a speed racer, although I have done 70/75 up big grades without a problem. It’s slow and steady, will always do the speed limit or a little bit over, but its road manners are safe and reliable.
The tank gauge sometimes works fo rate grey and black water, and sometimes doesn’t. Ive learned to live without it. I just keep a manual log of how many gallons I put in for the grey and fresh water. All gets emptied at the RV park anyway so I come home light. They do make better gagues these days are better updated which would be a nice upgrade.
Ive taken it on many journies without one stitch of trouble.
Journeys as follows since I’ve owned it
Pennsylvania West Virgina Virginia Tennessee North Carolina New Jersey (where it lives) New York Connecticut New Hampshire Vermont Maine Massachusetts
On the flatlands and through the mountains. Always does as it should! Its a road warrior, and will make the next owner proud Happy bidding! Any questions will gladly answer!
