Vehicle description
class b motorhome used. 20 ft long.
This listing is for a 1984 Winnebago LeSharo, as is, nowarranties. I bought this vehicle in 2017 thinking to totally refurbishit. I worked on it about a year and then got weaker and weaker. I eventuallygot diagnosed with bile duct cancer, had an operation and have never had theenergy to continue with the refurbishing. Automotively, this camper is in great condition. The engineis strong and the transmission works flawlessly. I was told by the previousowner that they were recently rebuilt, but now I have lost the receiptsverifying this. It does need a power booster for the brakes as the petal ishard to depress. The tires are very good condition; the spare tire is new. The speedometer does not work. I was planning on getting aGPS one. The odometer says 103,655 miles. I don’t know when the speedometerstopped functioning. If someone is looking for a vehicle to scavenge parts, thiscamper will provide many. If someone is looking to refurbish it, it needs a lot ofcleaning and tender love and care. The windshield is not cracked but the rubber around it needsto be replaced. It does not leak. The body has various rust spots as the photos will show. Iscraped and wire brushed the undercarriage and sprayed undercoating on thepassenger side. I didn’t get to the other side. The engine battery is new. It needs a cab battery. It usedto be stored under the vehicle under where the passenger seat is. This wasterribly inconvenient to get to, so I scrapped it and ran the hot wire over tothe driver’s side. It needs to have a hole drilled through the floor andbrought up to a battery box behind the driver’s seat. The stove, refrigerator, water pump, heater and airconditioners work fine. I was told by the previous owner, that the water heaterneeds to be replaced. It needs cosmetic repair on the paneling in the rear walland the ceiling around the vent. The ceiling vent does not leak anymore. I took out the rear passenger seats as I was going to be theonly person using it and wanted to make it into a dining area. I was planning onhaving a permanent bed in the rear. Both the table and rear seats are in mystorage building and available. Call me if you have any other questions.
