Vehicle description

Drivers quality restoration of 1984 TVR 280i.
I purchased this car from a older gentlemen in North Carolina that had started the restoration many years ago and realized he would not finish it. The body was in good shape, but needed paint. The chassis was almost rust free except for surface rust. The car was not running and appeared to have wiring issues.
We made the following repairs to the car:
1. Sanded, repaired the fiberglass body and painted the car the same color with a driver quality paint job. There are a few flaws in the paint that can be seen with close inspection.
2. Replaced the top,
3. Repair the vinyl drivers seats. Re-carpeted the interior
4. Fixed all wiring issues. Windows now work, All lights work, Wipers work, Heat and defroster work. We did not attempt to fix the AC.
5. Re-stained the wood dash.
6. Could not get the fuel injection to work, so we replaced the Manifold with one from a Capri and added a 2 barrel carb.
7. New Tires
8. New Battery
9. New Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders
The car runs, drives and handles well. I have driven it about 1100 since it was completed
All gauges work properly except: Speedometer is not accurate and drivers side headlight get stuck up sometimes.
This is my 4th TVR 280i restoration. I think this is the best car I have done.
In March a black 1985 TVR 280i was sold by Classic Auto Mall on for $8800. That was my car and I have attached a picture of that car too.
Please look at my two negative ratings. I did decided it was not worth the trouble to ship the table that I sold, but the original ad said local pick up only. As for the bad rating on the car sale, he was a crook trying to get me to refund him part of the money for things he said I did not disclose. The car sold for $2000 and was listed as a restoration in progress. Meanwhile he re-listed the car on Craigslist within days at more than double the price he paid and did not disclose any of the things he told me were wrong. When I confronted him with that info, he stopped talking to me.
I standby by my work and if the car is not what I said it is, please return it for a refund.
I will assist with pick up by your shipping company. Shipping is at the buyer expense.
