Vehicle description
Summary: Classic Airstream motorhome. Built with the quality of the trailers, except with an engine. This motorhome is clean and DRY inside. Built on a GM chassis, it has the GM 454 with 400 turbo trans. Runs, drives, and stops. Ready to part with it. Starting bid at $8000. Taking whatever it goes for. Clean Florida title in hand.
History/Functionality: This Airstream was a RV for a retired couple and when driving to Florida, fell ill and had to leave in Florida where it stayed in storage for the next 5 years until the owner unfortunately passed away. Now in my possession, it"s been brought back to running condition but has not been taken long distances. It has all original appliances including propane refrigerator and stove. The stove works but I did not take special interest in getting the fridge working because it is outdated and assumed new owner would prefer something more efficient. The Kohler generator is still installed. It turns over but seems to have carburetor problems. And I did not spent much time on the generator for the same reasons of the refrigerator. This vehicle will need some further testing to determine when its ready for long distance travel. The RV has been plugged into power and all electrical works. Air conditioners do not work. Auxiliary water applied and all plumbing is intact and working.
Payment/Shipping Winner must pay $500 non-refundable deposit through Paypal once the auction is over. We can discuss full payment in the form of cash, certified check (with one week clearing time), or bank transfer. Shipping is buyer responsibility but I may have some resources for towing to lower southern states (Fl,AL, NC, SC, GA, ect). The RV does run but I have not taken it long distances. I would say that you could drive it away and I would feel comfortable myself driving it but I am not responsible for breakdowns. As stated in the description, it has been sitting some time and cannot inspect for every malfunction that could occur driving long distances.
I have tried to be a descriptive as I know how. I have included a video below that goes around the vehicle and through the interior. I do show the dent in the rear which is not very great. The only other thing I can think of that the pictures don"t show easily is a crack in the passenger side windshield pane. Please watch the video for more description.
