Vehicle description

This past summer in Florida, a labor of love was spent with dad (Mr. Fix-it) and brother-in-law (pro mechanic) working on this classic 1983 33 foot Winnebago Chieftain with Chevy 454 engine. From dropping the fuel tank, adding fuel lines, completely tuning up with new alternator, battery, spark plugs and wires to getting dash a/c and both roof a/c’s to blow cold to name a few.
In addition, the 6500 watt ONAN Generator got an tune up with new plugs, oil change, air filter and muffler to give many hours of power wherever you may choose to roam.
The two front tires have lots of life in them. (See photo) One rear tire is brand new. Other three have at least another 5k left on them.
The odometer and fuel gauge isn’t working. Since we only dropped and checked one of the two fuel tanks, to be safe I only use the one fuel tank to be sure no corrosion gets in the system.
Dometic refrigerator is three way, currently working on 110 and 12v. Thermocouple needs replacing to run on propane.
Since it was summer in Florida, we did not spend time looking at the furnace or the water heater. I have a stack of books on this Winnebago I will include with purchase.
I tell you what, if I had my way I wouldn’t be selling this fine running, comfortable to drive and live in machine, but unfortunately some $ituations in life have left me with little choice.
Yes, it’s old and it may need some cosmetic attention in places and a few things updated and looked at, but I wouldn’t hesitate to jump in and drive as far south or west as possible tomorrow.
If you are looking for a great vehicle to drive and live in for a great price considering all what you are getting then please feel free to contact me, ask any questions and see what we can work out.
Thank you!
PS A previously owned, good T400 transmission was installed by Dave’s A1 in Bunnell, FL (40 years experience) before I travelled north to Michigan. You can rest easy going forward (and reverse!)
