Vehicle description
1983 International S1900, showing 269,494 miles, 180HP DT 466 Diesel Engine, 5 speed Transmission, 2 speed Rear, P/S, Hydraulic Brakes, 16 FT Knapheide Flatbed Dump with steel floor over wood and has no rust, 9.00R20 Steer tires with good tread showing a little weathering but useable, 11R22.5 tires on rear in nice shape. We have had this truck for about a year or so and are the third owners. We bought it from the second owner who had it since 1988. We used the old truck around the farm here to haul some brush, dirt, and gravel with but have decided to sell it as we don"t use it enough to justify keeping it. The old truck drives good and the front end is tight, the transmission and 2 speed rear shift like they should, brakes work good, parking brake works but needs to be tightened up a bit, all the gauges work, heater works, oil pressure gauge is sporadic sometimes and sometimes it works perfect " I think the sensor is going bad" and Im not sure if the alternator is charging or not. The gauge never goes above 12 and don"t know if its just a bad gauge, or if its not charging. We have never addressed it as it always starts. All the lights work except one headlight and Diverside fender needs a turn signal bulb. The cab is solid with no rust and not beat up. The interior is in pretty good shape, driver side door could use a set of door bushings in the future, they have a little slop in them. The paint has a good appearance but will have scratches and scuffs as you would expect with any old farm truck. The engine has some blowby, but still runs good. Please don"t come expecting a show truck that is perfect, this is a solid old farm truck that will have some oil seeps, scratches and bruises, but is not junk by any means.
