Vehicle description
1983 Monaco 35" Regent Motorhome. Condition is Used.
I bought this last year to use while we were remodeling a home. I had other plans for it after, but they aren"t going to work out. I moved it to my sisters property in Spokane a few months ago where it currently sits, and where the pictures were taken. It worked great for our needs and enjoyed using it. It was thoroughly cleaned when it was parked, would recommend cleaning it again before use anyway. The pictures my sister took look pretty good, but you know how pictures can be. I wouldn"t expect it to be too bad on the inside other than dust and cobwebs though. Outside isn"t perfect, has some dings and scratches, but should be expected from a 37 year old motorhome, especially this length.
I believe the mileage on it is around 70-80k, if even that high. I forgot to ask my sister to check it for me. It was in the high sixty"s when I bought it and only drove it a few times around Seattle, then out to Spokane to park it.
The only major issue I had with it was when first starting out driving after it had been sitting for a while. The brakes drums will lock up on the front. It is easy to release the pressure by bleeding the brake line and they work fine afterword. I only had to do it the one time on the entire drive out to Spokane. I am sure there is a simple fix for it, but I never got around to figuring out what it was.
Driving this is beast is not for the faint of heart. It is a lot longer than I had expected. I never had any issues driving it, but it was a little nerve racking at first.
As it has been sitting for a few months, the main batteries are probably dead and will need to be jumped. The generator on it worked perfectly the couple times I fired it up. Hot water heater was great and I believe the previous owner had replaced it and all the plumbing for the fridge. Shower is small, but usable. I"m 6"2 and was able to make it work. Didn"t have any issues with the plumbing or tanks. I never filled the water tank, so if you are going to use it, make sure you clean it out. We just hooked the hose up for direct water use. The leveling jacks work without issue. There is a rear camera that has been installed on a switch, and can actually be left on while driving which helped me out some. It has a small TV and Wii system, although they are old and didn"t use them very much.
Title is clear and in my name. The mileage shows exempt, don"t remember why that is other than the age.
Can"t think of anything else to put on here, feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. I will drive out to meet the winner of the auction and go over everything with them.
