Vehicle description
This vintage cargo van is in good condition, and has been owned by a school district since it was new. For the past 28 years it has been garage kept. It has a current PA inspection.
The van has power steering and brakes. The transmission is a 3 speed manual column shifted type (3 on the tree).
This is a basic van with few options, and even original "dog dish" hubcaps! It runs and drives well, and has only about 116,000 original miles. It was used in our maintenance department for most of its life, but for the past 5 years or so, it has just been a spare. Our newer guys don"t know how to drive a 3-on-the-column these days!
The body is pretty good. There are one or two places with a bit of rust showing, but it is generally pretty sound. Within the past year, the front suspension kingpins were replaced, as was the carburetor. The 300 CI inline six runs smoothly and quietly, clutch is good, transmission shifts well, and the tires are good.
If you are looking for a vintage van that is a "blank slate" - this is for you.
